Summary
The Caliber Group, based in Tucson, AZ, is seeking a dynamic Public Relations Manager responsible for managing client relationships and account services, staff resources and account profitability. Caliber is a fast-growing brand marketing and public relations firm with 15 employees who work with leading companies in Arizona and the U.S. The metro-Tucson area is one million in population and continually ranks high in attractive places to live and expand small businesses in the United States.
Job
-Develops, manages and implements effective public relations and social media services to achieve client and agency objectives.
-Prepares winning public relations and social media proposals, strategic plans and competitive budgets. Implements plans, services and agency resources within budget.
-Responsible for account profitability, including routinely monitoring estimated versus actual job costs and making corrections to avoid cost overruns.
-Routinely monitors and communicates campaign results and key metrics to clients and agency principals.
-Writes and edits copy for multiple agency needs: news copy, social media content, blog posts, websites, e-blasts and brochures.
-Coordinates with agency team members to procure freelance services and vendor resources when needed to complete projects, such as photography, video, media monitoring, printing, etc.
-Appropriately utilizes agency resources, including account coordinator(s), interns and the creative team to meet client needs.
Job
-Bachelor?s degree in public relations, journalism, communications or marketing
-Minimum five years of relevant experience performing the duties described in this job description
-Healthcare and medical device experience preferred
-Proven track record building and maintaining strong media relationships and effective public relations campaigns
-Experience reporting on public relations results and social media analytics
-Experience managing creative services and knowledgeable of the creative development process
-Strong leadership, interpersonal communications, sales and negotiation skills
-Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills
-Self-motivated, flexible and thrives in a fast-paced environment
-Ability to embrace and represent the agency?s core values
-Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
