Type of Employment: Full Time/Exempt
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Provides leadership, management, and ensures accountability among team members
Oversees the recruitment process (e.g. advertising vacancies, screening applicants, conducting interviews, making recommendations for hire, new employee orientation, etc.) for the purpose of attracting highly qualified staff
Collaborates with supervisors to establish and plan incentives, workplace programs, team building events, and other retention efforts for Bayless Healthcare?s workforce
Provides administrative oversight to the internship programs, fostering relations, and ensuring compliance with student placement contracts
Reviews employee practices/processes and makes recommendations to Executive Management for the maintenance and improvement of employee satisfaction
Works closely with executives and managers, providing them with expert guidance, coaching and support on the full range of HR activities (including policies and procedures, terms and conditions of employment, staffing plans and budgets, absence management, workforce assignments, performance management, redundancy planning etc.), in order to ensure a consistent and fair approach to people management company wide
Implements benefits administration to all employee?s
Ensures that organization is in compliance with all federal and state laws
Provides direction and leadership in order to achieve the organization?s philosophy, values, mission, and goals
Works closely with the Executive and Management Teams to develop and carry out major plans, coordinate operations of all divisions to accomplish organization-wide goals, and ensures that operations and services provide quality and profitable results
Other duties assigned as needed
Provides supervision in support of relationship-based work
Provides supervision which is regular, reflective, and collaborative in nature
Designs supervision so as to identify each supervisee?s areas of mastery and areas targeted for growth and development
Formulates a specific plan with the supervisee to address the latter
Uses supervision to promote staff growth and development
Acts as a mediator when conflicts arise
Promotes staff awareness of their own values, beliefs, and experiences and the potential impact of these upon their work with staff, patients, and the community
Addresses staff performance concerns directly and in a timely manner and documents these concerns and related supervisory conversations appropriately
Provides staff with motivation and support to do their work
Interviews, hires, and trains program staff as needed
Documents supervision sessions according to required standards
Responds quickly to staff concerns, notifying supervisor/director of any significant issues
Completes written employee performance appraisals according to established schedule
Provides leadership
Assures that the BHG mission, programs, and services are consistently presented in a strong, positive image to relevant stakeholders, including patients, physicians, employees, benefactors and community members
Encourages and supports the process of team development
Is proactive in working to assure positive and effective team functioning and addresses any issues which may interfere with a constructive team process
Motivates and leads a high-performance team; attracts recruits and retains required members of the team; provides mentoring as a cornerstone to career development
Fosters an environment that attracts, retains, and motivates top quality people and volunteers
Positively represents the organization within the community
Ensures productivity standards are met for full-time and part-time employees

Uses written communication including letters, proposals, reports, forms, procedures and policy statements, and other documents, using various writing styles and formats to produce documents that effectively communicate the purpose and intent
Submits accurate and complete reports, forms and other written information as required in accordance with department and program standards
Proofs and revises work for correct grammar, spelling, and format
Education, Experience, and Other Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience; Master?s Degree preferred
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work independently
Ability to unify and motivate teams to accomplish goals and objectives
Ability to resolve complex work related problems and foster interdepartmental cooperation and communication
Fully conversant and up-to-date with all aspects of employment law and HR best practice
Experience in the development and implementation of employment policies and procedures
Experience at recruitment interviewing and assessment at all levels
Ability to prepare and present reports to executive level
Pro-active and self-motivated
Excellent planning and organization skills to meet deadlines
Proficient in the use of MS Office applications, email and the Internet
