The Anchorage Marriott Downtown Hotel is looking for an experienced Event Services Coordinator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity with potential for growth and personal development within the Hotel industry. This is a dynamic and fast paced work environment. This is a traditional Monday through Friday position with business hours 8 am to 5 pm/ 7 am to 4 pm/ 9 am to 6 pm
Duties include- Assist in all daily aspects of the hotel catering sales process and supports the Catering & Sales Department. Data entry and filing, draft correspondence and assemble confidential and sensitive information, coordinate meetings, and other duties as assigned. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload. Some duties may include other departments within the hotel. This support position is excellent for individuals wanting to start a career in the hospitality and catering sales industry.
The ideal candidate will possess: - A minimum of 1 year Administrative assistant experience required - Able to work with minimal supervision in a public setting with multiple employees and distractions. - Strong customer service skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks. - Professional appearance and demeanor; attention to detail and accuracy at all times. - Ability to maintain confidentiality. - Written and verbal communication along with computer literacy skills are a must As this position will also be assisting the Accounting department with billing some accounting and billing knowledge will be preferred.
