General Purpose of Position:
Review charges prior to submission to ensure clean claims
Charge posting in practice management software
Electronic and manual posting of both insurance and patient
Reconcile payments to system reports
Submit electronic and paper claims and patient statements
Research and resolve issues with claim rejections and/or other billing issues
Assist patients with questions they may have regarding their account
Process accounts for collections
Manage accounts to ensure days in AR are below goal
Educational Requirements:
College degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience Requirements:
Revenue cycle management experience in a healthcare environment
Billing experience in hospital, medical practice, or outpatient setting.
Experience using Medical Billing software applications
Experience with ICD-10 and CPT codes
