Job Description:
Hour Media, the publisher of Hour Detroit, DBusiness, Detroit Home, Metro Detroit Wedding magazines and more, is proud to offer a sales and advertising internship for the Fall 2017 term. Ideal candidates will work a minimum of 20 hours per-week. Schedules are negotiable, but a three-month commitment is required. Interns must be enrolled in a university, however the intern does not have to be receiving credit to be eligible for the position.
Interns will work directly under the publishing and advertising coordinator and be charged with tasks form the director of advertising. Interns will have the opportunity to learn day-to-day advertorial departmental functions including, prospecting potential clients, updating and managing Hour Media?s sales database, tracking sales and surveying results, and working closely with account executives. Interns will also have the chance to assist with events put on by Hour Media, sit in on meetings with account executives and their clients as well as gain overall publishing and city regional magazine knowledge.
Requirements: Qualified students will have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Hour Media offers its interns substantial projects and significant opportunity for skill-development.
