THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources, the Global Technical Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, recruiting, screening and interviewing candidates for full time and contract positions on a global scale. The primary focus is on technical roles, but may also include other types of roles as the need arises.
This is a comprehensive full-cycle recruiting role, including activities such as creation of job descriptions, preparing job offers, assisting in compensation studies and negotiations and conducting new hire orientation.
Recruitment efforts will draw from a wide range of sourcing methods, tools and techniques, a high level of creativity and resourcefulness, staying on top of trends influencing technology talent acquisition and leveraging internal and external sources.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct full-cycle recruitment projects including, but not limited to recruitment marketing and sourcing, screening, qualifying, interviewing, compensation analysis, contracts/offers and ensuring successful onboarding and assimilation
Implement a proactive and highly effective talent acquisition function through collaboration with Director of Human Resources to establish strategies, processes, tools and practices
Manage the internal recruitment and hiring process as well as promote positive candidate experiences by building cooperative and supportive relationships with department heads and guiding interviewing teams and candidates through the entire process
Source and engage top candidates by utilizing various methods (e.g., recruitment marketing, networking, cultivating referrals, online searches, internet postings, job/career fairs, colleges, universities, and local trade schools, etc.) to develop robust talent pools and qualified candidates to fill positions on a timely basis
Thoroughly evaluate candidates to assess qualifications against job requirements, with particular focus on technical qualifications
Develop accurate and complete job descriptions and determine appropriate candidate qualifications and criteria through consultation with department heads and hiring managers
Work directly with the hiring managers to develop recruiting and staffing strategies for anticipated hiring needs
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
At least three years? experience in a fast-paced talent acquisition environment with responsibility for securing successful hires for information technology and software development positions
Exposure to recruiting for multiple geographic and cultural environments, preferably including Europe and North America; demonstrate global and cultural awareness
Demonstrated temperament and ability to remain focused and get things done in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment involving ambiguity and new situations
Proficient in a range of sourcing and recruiting methods, tools and techniques, with emphasis on online and direct sourcing and recruiting efforts; knowledgeable of various recruitment and social platforms
Knowledgeable of current technology trends, terminology, and skill sets with ability to communicate relevantly with and accurately assess the abilities of tech talent
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to effectively engage and influence others and manage a wide range of relationships
Strong project management and organizational skills
Demonstrate solid judgment and an analytical and resourceful approach to problem solving, with demonstrated success in identifying sound solutions
Quick learner in embracing new systems, processes and procedures
Ability to work independently as well as demonstrates a penchant for collaboration when the situation warrants, needing little direct management
