Specific Duties:
Manage and maintain the program?s cloud computing servers as well as supporting development of software prototypes and technical documentation (e.g., specifications) related to distributed learning;
Evaluate R&D prototypes, technical documents, and proposals;
Serve as task lead for specific technical projects, as assigned;
Provide expert knowledge and experience in distributed learning technologies;
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Formal Education required: Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience
Experience required: Five (5) years? experience in fields/experience mentioned in Specific Duties
U.S. Citizenship required
Specific knowledge and/or skills:
Ability to manage third-party cloud computing platforms, including architectural design, security settings, access controls, cost-effective usage monitoring;
Manage cloud security (e.g., hardening, authentication, authorization);
Ability to use distributed learning specifications (e.g., SCORM, xAPI, Dublin Core) and familiarity with virtualization software and virtualized server implementations.
Ability to use scripting and programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java, C#), develop and use web front-end markup/scripts (e.g., HTML, HTML5, JS, CSS, SASS), use web apps and server stacks (e.g., MOAN, LAMP, Django, REST, SOAP) and use client-side web apps (e.g., Meteor, React, Angular, Knockout).
Able to collaboratively develop and maintain software (e.g., via GitHub), develop software technical documentation and user guides, find and fix software bugs, have familiarity with standard web security (e.g., SSL certificates, OAuth) and web-based data storage (MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, NoSQL).
Independent Judgment and Decision Making : May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Physical Demands: Typically the work may be performed sitting down. No special physical demands are required. There may be some walking, standing, bending and carrying of light items such as paper, books, small equipment and supplies.
