Software Tester Job Opening in Redmond, Washington - Job Title: Software Tester
Contract Length: 9 Months with probable extension
Rate : 20-24/hr
Description/Comment: The team is looking to expand our team to strengthen the support to the developments in Redmond WA location.
Additional Job Details : Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain an effective technical relationship with Microsoft and ODM/IHV partners.
Collaborate with Dell and Microsoft teams to reproduce and support Microsoft OS related issues, work closely with Microsoft Developers to resolve them.
Have strong technical understanding of Microsoft Windows OS product and background in problem solving and analysis with a track record of working with a large group of partners.
Understand and provide information from internal teams on several aspects including new devices, distribution and integration process details.
Provide support to Dell engineering team in maintaining product quality for Dell products and exploring the potential to improve the integration and delivery process.
What are the three to five primary responsibilities of the position?: Candidate Qualifications:
5+ years industry experience, and nice to have Microsoft Experience but not mandatory
Software engineering or IT technical background experience at Microsoft preferred
Expertise in Microsoft testing frameworks or experience with scripting languages are plus.
Direct experience working with OEM partners, either at Microsoft or in the industry is a plus.
Outstanding executive composure, cross- group collaboration and communications skills * Ability to write a bug report is important
Strong debugging and monitoring skills are preferred
Nice to have Bachelor or Masters in Computer Science or a related field
What is the typical work schedule required? Weekends, overtime, on-call? Is the work schedule flexible? Does the resource need to be on-site for a specified number of days?: Onsite at Redmond working in a lab. Standard 40 hour work week.
