About the Position:
Under general direction of the Director of Sales and is close collaboration with Marketing & Operations, the Regional Sales Manager is responsible for generating new sales opportunities, lead conversion, customer acquisition and growth within the assigned geography and/or vertical markets. This individual must have excellent people skills, be a self-starter, highly flexible, entrepreneurial in nature and have a strong desire to succeed. The ideal candidate will have proven track record of selling products or services to the , Construction & Industrial Markets. The preferred location would be in the greater Indianapolis area but other locations would be considered for the right candidate.
Responsibilities Include:
Work closely with Sales Management, Marketing and Operations to build plan to drive sales growth throughout the region, establish regional sales goals, track, analyze & monitor results
Create an annual business plan for the assigned region
Develop an opportunity pipeline to support regional sales goals
Consistently prospect, efficiently qualify / disqualify to prioritize the highest potentials for new business
Develop & oversee customer retention plans for assigned geographies & vertical market
Identify and develop strategic customer relationships at all levels in the organization
Attend site visits, conduct educational meetings with customers and oversee project activities as necessary.
Develop a strong network of relationships with environmental and geotechnical engineering consulting firms, government agencies and contractors.
Develop pricing and quoting acumen to respond to customer?s needs using a complete market perspective
Develop and present compelling business cases based on an in depth understanding of customer requirements and the company?s products
Prepare technical correspondence, reports, specifications, bid documents and cost estimates
Over time, become a subject matter expert on the company?s products to help guide customers to the best solution based on their requirements
Provide technical assistance for contractors involved with soil stabilization, dewatering and environmental remediation projects. When necessary be the interface with the customer and internal operations to coordinate shipments of materials.
Attend conferences, tradeshows, industry technical training and industry associations to build knowledge and relationships
Learn & embrace the company?s professional selling process
Work closely with marketing and operations to provide feedback and recommendations for product and service enhancements
Maintain accurate and detailed customer, prospect and opportunity records using the company?s CRM tool
Generate and maintain accurate 3-month rolling forecasts for the assigned territories using the company?s CRM tool
Promote the company product line to Industrial, Commercial and Municipal Treatment facilities.
Feedback all recommendations for new solutions & market opportunities to sales management, marketing & operations
Requirements
Strong networking skills!
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 7 -10 years of experience selling materials and/or consulting with the Environmental / Geotechnical & Industrial Markets preferred
A Bachelor?s Degree or higher, or commensurate experience, in a technical field will be given strong consideration
Proven track record of managing territory to drive regional sales growth
Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook is required
Experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus
Passionate about continuous learning & growing the business
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience preparing proposals
Travel 50% - 60%+
