Financial Associate Job Opening in Barrington, Rhode island - The Fogarty Center is seeking a motivated, team-oriented, flexible Professional to join the Finance Department. The Financial Associate will work alongside the Finance team under the direction of the Assistant Financial Director in the all aspects of the services provided (24-hour supports for Adults, Community/Day Program supports, and Home-based supports for Children). The Financial Associate will perform accounting functions including but not limited to:
Accounts Receivables
Cash Receipts
Accounts Payable
Cash Disbursements
Revenue/Billing
Payroll
The Financial Associate will also assist the Assistant Financial Director with implementation of policies and procedures amongst the Finance department, and preparation of monthly closing reports, budget to actual financials, monthly bank reconciliations, and accounting work papers for year-end audit. Qualifications include:
Associate's degree in Business or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with Great Plains Accounting Software
Familiarity with RI supports for People with Developmental Disabilities and Medicaid funding
Strong written and oral communication skills
Self-motivation, flexibility to work independently or in a group setting
