VP of Application Development Job Opening in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania - The Superior Group has a permanent direct hire position for a Vice President of Application Development in the Conshohocken, PA area.
Responsibilities:
Leading a team of developers in the design, development, testing, and deployment of a range of development projects in support of defined business plan objectives
Provide strategic direction for and take ownership of application development SDLC creating a lightweight and efficient process
Builds high performing teams through effectively training, mentoring, delegating, and providing feedback to colleagues and leadership
Strong project management skills: Plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of resources, to achieve project objectives and deadlines
Provides direct executive leadership and guidance for critical or troubled IT projects and programs for the purposes of stabilization, optimization and successful completion
Structures overall delivery and support models for development to ensure efficient and high-quality results for projects, enhancements and business-as-usual operation efforts.
Sponsors and engages directly with 3rd party partners, to ensure quality and timely service delivery, as well as to develop mutually beneficial offerings and solutions for the businesses.
Facilitate cross-team and interdisciplinary relationships and interactions within the development space and with Infrastructure and Operations.
Works with the development and IT management team to establish development best practices, procedures, standards, methodologies, and guidelines
Reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer
Job Requirements: Required Skills / Qualifications:
B.S. in Computer Science or degree in IT
12+ years' experience managing software development teams, mentoring, with hands-on coding architecture and design expertise
10+ years leading application development activities and working directly with third party software (package application) providers require
3 years of Mortgage Industry expertise required, specifically Loan Origination Systems
3 years of direct vendor engagement and management experience required
3 years of development experience with , C# and SQL
3 years experience in the mortgage industry or financial industry 5 years recently with the Microsoft stack
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
Proven architectural and business strategy
Digital platform strategy, digital marketing stragety
Visionary with quantitative and provable enterprise accomplishments
Loan origination system experience strongly preferred, customer facing portal
Automation, DevOps and Automated QA Understanding of Microsoft SQL tools including SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Report Service (SSRS)
Demonstrated understanding of software development methodologies, standards and best practices
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities
Possess strong organizational and time management skills
Must possess exceptional project management skills and be extremely sensitive to meeting or exceeding defined deadlines
