Programmer Analyst Job Opening in Bradford, Pennsylvania - PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Perform development and systems analyst functions to create new applications and support existing software.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Consult with users to gather information about program needs, objectives, functions, features, and input/output requirements.
Design systems and programs to meet user needs.
Analyze and estimate feasibility, costs, time, and compatibility with existing infrastructure.
Research and evaluate software to assist in programming.
Code, test, debug, and document programs, and enhance existing programs to ensure that
systems continue to meet user needs.
Negotiate with vendors for services and products as needed.
Provide technical assistance by responding to user inquiries, problems, or questions about application software.
Work with users to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs.
Train end users or technical support staff as needed.
Monitor performance of programs after implementation.
Document and review documentation written by others to create operating procedures.
Identify opportunities to improve business performance through the use of existing or new application software.
Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP system support and maintenance.
Perform related duties and special assignments, as required.

Technical or on-the-job training in systems analysis and development
Essential Skills
Microsoft Dynamics AX programming experience in X++
SQL Server 2008 SQL / TSQL and above
Advanced Crystal Reports and SSRS development
Other Desirable Technical Skills:
Software development using Microsoft Visual Studio
Experience supporting EDI and Shipping systems
Experience supporting Payroll and Human Resource systems
MS Office Expertise
ERP:
Understanding of ERP manufacturing systems and operations
Work Related:
Ability to complete work within estimated time constraints.
Time management skills to handle multiple task assignments and prioritize work appropriately
The drive and natural tendency to keep technology skills up to date
Good verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to work with customers inside or outside of the company
EDUCATION AND ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
1+ years of experience as Developer or Programmer Analyst
Demonstrated Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
Knowledge of AX operating system a plus.
