Job Overview
The Sales Support Associate will work cooperatively with Outside and Inside Sales, as well as other members of the distribution team with any number of administrative tasks, including but not limited to; taking phones calls, answering email inquiries, faxing documents, basic bookkeeping duties, and product sourcing.
Position Requirements
Build and maintain effective relationships with Inside and Outside Sales associates, as well as outside vendors, in order to provide product and technical information to customer.
Source product information by sending out requests for quotes (RFQ) to vendors and gather any additional technical information needed, as well as freight quotes as needed.
Help Sales associates search for available alternatives and/or substitutes as needed.
Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items, obtainability and accessibility of special order products, and provide an estimated date of delivery.
Quote customer with price, credit and terms in accordance with standard procedures and customers? profitability profiles. (Usually set by Sales Manager, or recent history with customer/items.
Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed.
Ensure all orders are processed accurately, and in a timely manner.
Follow up orders with suppliers/vendors on regular basis, track shipments of orders, and ensure all parts/products are received properly.
Any discrepancies should be immediately reported to Warehouse Manager, supplier/vendor and most importantly, the customer, and corrective actions taken.
Setup and maintain customer files.
Follow up on all Pending Open Orders processed by Sales Team.
Communicate to the purchasing department unexpected increases or decreases in demand for products.
Assist in scheduled physical inventory counts.
Maintain proficiency in using personal computer, data entry terminal and other common office equipment and software.
Follow company policies and procedures.
Present a professional image at all times to customers, vendors, and co-workers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of college and/or equivalent of Sales Support experience preferred.
Excellent clerical and computer skills
Ability to provide outstanding customer service.
Ability to learn the products and services offered.
Excellent communication skills; listening, verbal, as well as written skills.
Ability to work under pressure of deadlines and in a fast-paced work environment.
Be focused and goal oriented, with efficient time-management skills.
Possess great organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
Maintain honesty, integrity, and a good work ethic
Preliminary drug testing required
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $14.00 to $21.00 /hour
