JOB OVERVIEW:
Welcome and register guests, provide prompt and courteous service, and close out guest accounts upon completion of stay to meet brand standards of quality.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Greet customers with a friendly and sincere welcome. Use a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate action and provide accurate information of hotel amenities and local attractions.
Complete the registration process by retrieving appropriate data and inputting them into the property management system.
Handle cash and payments with accuracy and maintain cashier float at all times.
Promptly answer the telephone using positive and clear communication.
Field guest complaints, conducting thorough research to develop the most effective solutions and negotiate results. Use Wyndham model to execute service standards.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to work AM, PM or Night shifts, including weekends and holidays. Ability to read, write and speak the English language fluently, additional languages are an asset.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior experience at the Front desk at a hotel preferred
Knowledge of Fosse an asset
Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift.
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
Good telephone etiquette skills.
Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
Basic mathematical skills and ability to make accurate mathematical calculations.
Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
Studies in Hospitality and Tourism an asset
High School Diploma or equivalent
