Sr. Clinical Quality Data Analyst Job Opening in Nashville, Tennessee - POSITION SUMMARY
PhyMed Healthcare Group is an innovative, physician-owned management services organization providing practice management and administrative support services to Anesthesia, Pain Management and Critical Care professionals proudly serving as trusted partners to healthcare systems, ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) and office-based anesthesia providers nationwide.
The Senior Clinical Quality Data Analyst will provide expertise in the development of quality measures, regulatory reporting and report building. This individual will also provide support and training for Tableau to our operational staff.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Aggregate data from different sources and perform analysis as per business requirements
Form hypotheses, then analyze data to independently test the ideas
Work with data architects to translate requirements into technical specifications and assist in data and output validation
Communicate the analytical results to team members and suggest implications and potential next steps
Communicate analysis, ideas, and findings using data visualization techniques (PowerPoint, Kronos, Power BI etc.)
Work closely with EDW and IT teams, as well as business users, to understand the relation between data elements and business processes
Work with several large and complex SQL databases and develop ad-hoc reports when necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field
Knowledge of quality improvement principles, processes and practices including quality data measurement
Healthcare Background ? minimum of 3 years working knowledge of clinical documentation systems and/or claims data
Knowledge and understanding of government reporting regulations such as PQRS, MIPS, VBP, HACs, HAIs, Readmissions and PSIs
Minimum of 3 years of experience in reporting from SQL using Tableau, SSRS, SAS or other applications.
Experience with designing complex reports and dashboards, documenting and interacting with stakeholders using Tableau
Strong knowledge of data mining techniques and testing/validation
Skilled at creating and maintaining quality documentation of all types, including audit documentation, quality standards and quality management plans
Working knowledge of ETL or ELT concepts
Strong communication skills ? written and verbal
Must be a self-starter and able to work independently
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Experience in the perioperative setting is preferred
Certification in Quality Improvement (IHI, CPHQ or CSSBB) is preferred
Working knowledge of either Python, R, SAS or equivalent language is preferred.
Business Intelligence Tools experience is preferred
Data Marts and Data Warehousing experience is preferred
