A new cutting edge Manhattan venue concept, is seeking an experienced Executive Chef at their restaurants in the Flatiron district. Are you interested in working in a neighborhood standard with a fun, family atmosphere? We are expanding at a fast rate and are currently looking for enthusiastic and energetic individuals that have a significant background in kitchen operations and management. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work in a team environment and have a passion for food, wine and hospitality. Previous experience in scheduling, purchasing, training, leading meetings and service knowledge is mandatory. Requirements: � Must have 10 years minimum of experience working in the kitchen, with 3-5 of those years working in a supervisory capacity. � Must have knowledge of Russian cuisine � Ability to speak English and Russian is a must. � Experience with food cost/waste management and the daily operations of a bustling kitchen � Good verbal and written communication skills � Ability to supervise multiple levels of culinary staff members, as well as select, train and conduct performance reviews with staff � Ability to interact on a professional level with other departments and outside contacts � Ability to work a heavy workload and handle multiple projects � Ability to process requisitions for supplies, and responsible for proper receiving, storage and rotation of food products � Responsible for auditing food storage areas to ensure cleanliness and organization � Culinary degree preferred, reference given to individuals with knowledge of French cuisine Compensation: We offer a competitive compensation rate and will pay for your relocation for any individuals coming out of area.
