Sr. Java Programmer Job Opening in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma - Individual must be able to attain and maintain a valid U.S. Government security clearance in order to be retained in this position.
Position Summary
Provides Java Programming skills and experience in support of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for software development projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Responsible for development and maintenance of existing Java based web service applications using Spring and Hibernate frameworks and Oracle database systems;
· Works with both customers and other vendors in a software development team based upon the Agile methodology;
· Provides well commented code and documentation describing the developed code and its function and interface requirements;
· Responds to test results to fix and re-test successfully;
· Works on multiple projects as assigned in support of projects as determined by the customer site lead and by contract team leadership
Education and Experience
· BS in Computer Science or similar technical field
· Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
Skills and Certifications
· MS Office 2007;
· Experience in iterative RUP or Agile software development;
· Java/J2EE programming experience;
· Spring and Hibernate Framework experience;
· SUN Solaris;
· Oracle 10g or higher database using PL/SQL and stored procedures;
· IDE: Eclipse;
· CM: CVS Git;
· Web Services Programming Experience;
· Desired: JIRA issues/bug tracking experience;
· Desired: SOA and ESB experience
· Not required to lift more than 10lbs.
· Position requires sitting for long periods of time. (Sedentary Work)
· Most duties require using a keyboard and computer monitor
