Software Development Engineer Job Opening in las vegas, Nevada - Software Development Engineer The Software Development Engineer is primarily responsible for development and/or maintenance of at least one of the IMPAC products or product families. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Software Development Engineer contributes to design decisions and discussions with the Design Review Team (DRT), develops, tests and documents software, supports formal validation of products, and interfaces with customers and other vendors as necessary during the product development cycle. The Software Development Engineer is also responsible for supporting Client Services with issues that either fall beyond the technical scope of the Client Services team or that are too unique or subtle for a Client Services representative to be expected to resolve. The Software Development Engineer is responsible for knowing, supporting and utilizing the IMPAC Quality System, the Software Design Control Process (SDCP) and any related procedures. As such, the Software Development Engineer will be called upon to produce documentation in support of this process, conduct design and phase review meetings or act as a Project Team Leader (PTL) in support of a process controlled project. Excellent verbal and written communications skills are mandatory. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Minimum 2 years of software development experience and a Bachelor’s engineering degree or equivalent. Experience developing Windows applications in at least one of the following areas: C, C , MFC, Visual Basic or MS Windows 4GL. Must have experience with and MS SQL. C# experience strongly preferred.
