Senior Financial Analyst Job Opening in Kansas City, Missouri - Our client is an independent, specialty fabricator and distributor of conveyor belting and accessories in the United States. They were founded over thirty five years ago and provide value-added belting products and services through their multiple service, sales, and fabrication facilities located across the United States.

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Chief Financial Officer and other designees to direct, develop, implement, and assist the company to reach its finance and business objectives. The candidate will have a hand in supporting a wide range of finance and some accounting functions. He or she will support sales and operations, acquisition integration, budget alignment, forecasting and budgeting. The Senior Financial Analyst will also work on special projects as assigned by the CFO or Controller. There is significant opportunity for career advancement for the right, hardworking candidate.
The candidate should possess a strong analytical background and be familiar with the following: knowledge of general ledger structure and accounting principles, process improvement, business analytics and advanced Excel skills (with the ability to create and edit macros). Further, the candidate should have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), strong interpersonal, organizational, prioritization, and self-motivation skills, as well as the flexibility to work in a fast-paced, environment. This position has oversight responsibility for ensuring that appropriate financial controls are practiced, as well as monitoring, auditing, reporting and assisting the executive management team in maximizing the return on investments and spending.
Desired Skills & Experience
Bachelor?s Degree; Finance Degree preferred
Financial modeling
Minimum two years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis
Familiarity with financial statements, budgets, and payroll.
General business knowledge
Excellent communication skills (written and oral presentation, listening and comprehension skills)
Knowledge of general ledger structure and accounting principles
