Medical Assistant Office Manager Job Opening in Santa Barbara, California - We are searching for a committed Full Time Medical Assistant Office Manager to perform various office and clinical duties to keep our Clinic running efficiently. Our Medical Assistant will work directly with healthcare staff to collect test samples, perform A1Cs, take vital signs, maintain patient records, explain common medical procedures to patients and assist in basic examinations. Looking for an individual with positive attitude, energetic, dependable, empathetic with patients, and who can develop a trusting relationship with patients and staff. Must be organized, have ability to follow through and complete work assignments independently, be responsible and pay attention to details, Must be able to multi-task.
Education, Experience and Skills:
High School Diploma or equivalent, Associate Degree preferred.
Phlebotomy certification highly desired
Certification with one of the following agencies required; American Association of Medical Assistants (AMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), California Certifying Board of Medical Assistants (CMAA), Note: Those who have graduated from an EMT program may also be considered, although the MA program is preferable.
Current CPR certification/Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or dually certified in both AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support and AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support at time of hire is required and non-negotiable
1-2 years of experience working for a healthcare practice or hospital
High level of professionalism
Strong customer service skills, be able to work in a high paced environment and be a team player
Strong organizational and planning skills
Inventory management experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
