Candidates should have approximately 5 years of Corporate Financial Reporting and Accounting experience. Candidates with experience in supporting a family of companies under one umbrella each with unique accounting needs helpful as well as experience in handling the transactional nature of interconnected companies. Candidates must possess strong problem solving skills, the highest sense of urgency, be a self-starter and independently motivated to solve problems, an excellent and assertive communication style, strong organization skills, and understand the need for teamwork. Candidates should be invigorated by an ever-changing workload and be prepared to roll up their sleeves as workload dictates. A demonstrated proficiency in multiple computer packages including Microsoft Office Suite (in particular, Excel) and major ERP systems essential.
Primary functions of this position include:
Ensuring the integrity of accounting information by accurately recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
Preparing and recording assets, liability, revenues, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
Maintaining and balancing subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, and resolving discrepancies.
Maintaining GL by making transfers, preparing trial balances, and reconciling entries.
Assisting Controller by summarizing financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements as requested or needed.
Working with auditors by preparing and providing all required information.
Ensuring the credibility and legality of all information, the appropriate handling of taxes and related payroll requirements, and usage of GAAP.
