CIS Medical Director Job Opening in Roseville, California - The CIS Medical Director assists with the design, training, implementation and all operations of clinical information systems (CIS), related to physician practice, workflow, and communication in all venues. Represents Information Technology (IT) physician leadership at key physician meetings. Interprets physician requests for CIS changes and participates in the process for approving and prioritizing CIS enhancements and fixes, inclusive of follow-up communication to physicians. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned personnel using both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.
Essential Responsibilities:
Serves as primary CIS liaison for project-related input/communication between the corporate CIS team and physicians' network. Participates in CIS application acquisition based on patient safety, customer service, strategic goals, regulatory requirements and organizational performance improvement.
Represents physicians in the design of CIS application content, working collaboratively with enterprise-wide peers. Provides input to the corporate CIS team on prioritization of CIS application implementation.
Evaluates CIS application and work processes and facilitates change based on user input and organizational performance outcome data. Facilitates collection, analysis and outcome reporting of organizational performance measures related to CIS. Facilitates comprehensive work process redesign necessary to support technology implementation in the clinical work setting.
Communicates with physicians to optimize engagement and satisfaction with System strategies and maximize standardization efforts where possible. Optimizes provider satisfaction with System services.

Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) required, Master's Degree in leadership, business or healthcare administration preferred
Seven years' clinical information systems experience
Five years' leadership experience
Five years' experience in a healthcare setting
Physician (MD), DO or Pharm D licensure in state of practice
Ability to communicate with about their requests and concerns
Ability to liaise between providers and IT to clarify requests
Ability to understand the clinical systems and their interactions
