The posted salary range is starting salary target and the salary grade is broader to allow for growth in the position. There is also an annual discretionary bonus opportunity of approximately 10%.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
This is a new role in our organization.
We are looking for a Retail Accounting General Ledger Manager to manage, mentor and lead the Retail General Ledger Team to ensure records, general ledgers and financial reports for Red Wing Shoe Company retail stores are complete and accurate and in accordance with US GAAP. A key member of the retail accounting team, this position will partner with Corporate Accounting and the Retail Financial Services team to ensure financial and business processes and controls exist and are performing as designed for both company and dealer owned stores. Responsibilities include manage a high performing retail general ledger team; simplify and standardize accounting, processes, and controls; ensure month end close activities are timely, complete, and accurate; and lead the annual audit for retail accounting.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
Bachelor?s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Accounting from an accredited college or university, PLUS 5-7 years of related
CPA or CMA, and public accounting experience required. Audit experience preferred.
Established record of improvement through process improvement methodologies which result in organizational efficiencies
Proven experience building high performing teams, an inspiring and motivating leader capable of developing the team for succession; player/coach leadership style that creates an environment of accountability and illustrates a commitment to teamwork and delegation. Is perceived as a strong role model and mentor for his/her team.
Demonstrated record of building consensus, trust, open communication, promotion of diverse perspectives, mutual support and empowerment.
