Tech Hire Program Manager Job Opening in Kansas City, Missouri - INTERNAL/EXTERNAL POSTING
Description/Job function
This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Operations. The primary objective is to provide overall supervision of projects. Leading staff and the programmatic efforts in the employment and training efforts within the Missouri Career Center and the Next Generation Career Center process. This is part of a national demonstration program, and is a grant-funded position for the next 16 months.
These activities include but are not limited to:
Job Duties.

Manage staff providing oversight of recruitment, training and placement of Career Center members.
Manage outreach activities with members interested in TECH Hire careers in order to meet program enrollment requirements and goals in healthcare, information Technology, advanced manufacturing, and financial services.
Partnership with community-based organizations and education institutions to achieve training credentials and training completion in healthcare arena leading to full-time employment.
Administer a state-of-the-art demonstration program designed to identify and implement innovative employment and training strategies to low-income, economically disadvantaged populations.
Monitor Toolbox and work related activities to ensure recipients are enrolled, contacted, counseled, and tracked and are reflected appropriately in the system.
Retrieve Toolbox management reports weekly to monitor ?real time? case management activities and identify client participation rate status.
Ensure follow-up activities are occurring such as comprehensive assessment, barrier removal, case management, transitions to job training and employment readiness.
Manage follow-up strategies to enhance organization project management success with program efficiency and efforts entailing follow-up, retention and exit efforts.
Direct counseling and follow-up services initiated by Tech Hire staff.
Provide technical assistance to team members with health care program enrollments, counseling and follow-up activities .
Monitor Toolbox for the program, and notify Executive Officials of program management glitches or problems in the system.
Work effectively with management, peers, and staff to execute flawless operational strategies within the organization.
Any and all other duties to fully execute the program.

KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of employment and training programs administered by the Full Employment Council (FEC) and other state, local, and federal agencies
Knowledge of FEC Programs, goals and targets
Knowledge of performance based techniques and practices

ABILITIES:
Ability to execute goals and objectives
Ability to work in a team environment
Support the CEO and Officers in strategic planning

SKILLS:
Skilled in making presentations to groups and individuals
Skilled in organizing and developing employer and contract files
Skilled in developing strategies for the job placement of FEC job seekers into career oriented positions

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor degree in Education, Healthcare Management, Business, Social Service Administration, Not-For-Profit Management, Management or similar field
Management experience preferred.
Advanced reading, writing and arithmetic skills that are normally acquired through college level course work.
Three to five years? experience directly involved in leading workforce programs or combination of education and experience. Posted November 03,2016
