Accounting Manager Job Opening in Sheldon, Iowa - The Accounting Manager will supervise accounting team of 1 or 2 working with AP, AR and payroll, along with performing audit prep and reporting, account reconciliation, financial analysis and reporting; tackling payroll issues and assisting with special projects.
Accounting Manager Responsibilities Include :
Review and prepare financial statements and reports, prepare and post journal entries, ensure timely and accurate reporting, compliance with GAAP.
Ensure state filings are administered.
Cost accounting for manufacturing and engineering projects.
Administration of the fixed asset process and monthly depreciation.
Oversight of A/R, A/P, Payroll and Cash Reconciliation
Review of accounting processes and process improvement
Mentor and team up with accounting staff as needed to complete tasks.
Requirements:
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting; prefer MBA or CPA
5+ years of accounting experience from working with general ledger to financial statements
3+ years of manufacturing accounting experience including cost accounting
GAAP
Proficient with MS Suite with advanced Excel skills
Advanced research and analysis skills for financial and operating data, including planning and implementation of selected solutions
Ability to drive change across departments by presenting solutions issues within the scope of the finance department
Experience working with employee benefits a plus
