Jr. Level Technical Advisor - Bi-lingual Japanese Job Opening in Atlanta, Georgia - We are working with a global client who is looking for a Jr. Level Assistant Technical Advisor.
In this role, the candidate will:
Provide onsite maintenance and minor repair of injection molding machinery within the company's fleet. Provide in-house and on-site Field Service Engineer support for new machine order activities including machine modifications, prep-to-ship activities, and on-site installation and commissioning. Assist the Technical Advisor on service, modification and internal training.
The candidate will be receiving train in field service functions in the following
· Perform on-site preventive machine maintenance functions.
· Perform on-site field modifications and/or minor repair or replacement of components
· Work with engineering, parts, and service management group to provide support to resolve escalated field problems.
· Provide machine pre-commissioning preparation and testing assistance
· Provide on-site support for other service staff for machine start-up and installation.
· Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures at all times.
· Develop and maintain safe habits and work practices in compliance with company and customer requirements.
· Ensure all materials, tools, and equipment provided are kept safe and secure and all are calibrated and in good working order.
· Service and modification inventory maintenance, tooling, emulators, returned service parts, etc.
· Active participant in service training and use of FieldAware
· Active participant in all internal training classes and technical center locations.
After training period, assist the Technical Advisor on service, modification, and internal training:
· Assist the Technical Advisor with training local service staff to increase their ability and knowledge for aftersales of all electric injection molding machines.
· Assist the Technical Advisor in directing onsite service work.
· Assist the Technical Advisor in directing the modification work.
· Assist the Technical Advisor with giving technical advice to sales on options for machines.
· Assist and teach personnel in cross training service staff.
Qualifications:
· Two years of related experience in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic functionality.
. Bi-lingual
. General understanding and/or certification in hydraulics and electronics
. B.S degree in Mechanical , Electrical, or Software Engineering
· Basic print and schematic reading of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic documentation.
· Knowledge of C+ and digital basics
· Travel 40 - 50% for national service calls when needed
· Proficient in computer use and skills with basic Microsoft office applications.
· Effective written and verbal communication skills.
· Must have a reliable working vehicle at all times
