Program Manager Job Opening in Atlanta, Georgia - As the Business Intelligence Project Manager, you will manage the Data Migration, Data sourcing and Reporting aspects of a large Oracle EBS project. Along with managing day-to-day operational aspects of these various projects, you will support refining, prioritizing, interviewing business resources, documenting business and IT process challenging and helping to develop a written roadmap for solutions.
Responsibilities
Provides effective leadership and management of the project team, including executing end to end project lifecycle, planning resources, communicating status, and brokering team development.
Ensures projects include all the work required for successful delivery. Project Scope Management consists of scope planning, scope definition, scope verification, and scope change control.
Identifies and communicates project risks and issues and facilitates mitigation strategies according to risk likelihood. Monitors progress of issue resolution and negotiates solutions as necessary.
Serves as central communications link to IT leadership and project stakeholders by providing timely and accurate project information.
Ensures projects satisfy the agreed-upon requirements, including quality planning, quality assurance, and quality control.
Explains technical project solution designs and associated labor estimates and project schedules to non-technical business partners and stakeholders.
Works collaboratively with product owners to prioritize and groom product backlog
Provides continuing direction to the project team, conducts status meetings, assesses proposed changes in scope, and recommends courses of action to project stakeholders and product owners
Develops time and cost estimates, project plans/schedules, and budgets. Oversees and controls ongoing costs, schedules, resources, scope, and risks * Promote and support Project Management Office policies and processes
Work with PMO to utilize established project standards, procedures, and quality objectives
Assesses variances from the project plan, gathers metrics and develops and implements changes as necessary to ensure that the project remains within specified scope and is within time, cost, and quality objectives
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor?s degree in a relevant technical/IT related program; or, an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Leadership and project management training are beneficial.
PMP certification or equivalent preferred but not required.
5+ years of project management experience, preferably in BI or data conversion related projects.
Hands on Agile experience preferred.
Familiarity with data warehouse and business intelligence principles and tools such as Oracle OBIEE, ETL Tools, Microstrategy, SAP BO or similar products.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in customer settings and with internal senior management.
Solid active listening, facilitation and presentation skills.
Solid knowledge of IT software development life cycle methodologies and processes.
Ability to lead and motivate professionals to produce high-quality results on time and within budget
Experience in Offshore and Onshore coordination.
