Technical Recruiting Solutions has partnered with great local companies developing products for the Department of Defense (DoD). We are currently looking for experienced Senior Systems Engineer to fill an opening in central Indiana. The ideal candidate will work with development engineers, QA engineers, documentation engineers, and program management to support the development documentation and of operations concepts, requirements (system, element, segment, or subsystem level), external and internal interfaces, and other systems engineering activities for a DoD program.
Education:
BA / MA / MS / PhD degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant technical field
Responsibilities:
US Citizenship required.
Analyze customer requirements
Participate as part of the Systems IPT to define requirements, decompose to lower-level requirements and coordinate with other functional areas to achieve design and development
Significant customer technical interface
Concept development, trade studies, systems architecture development, and systems integration and test activities
Integration of hardware, firmware, and software for prototyping and system demonstration
Document problems, determining root cause and developing corrective actions to resolve
Support the development, documentation and execution of system verification
Interface with multiple engineering disciplines and manufacturing personnel
Participate in requirements, design, and code reviews
Comply with defined development processes
Experience with DoD/Government programs, either as a government representative or contractor
Experience managing requirements across large, multi-disciplined development program
Proven history on complex Systems & Software Development/Support programs
Strong analytical skills building on Statistics, Systems Engineering courses, or Reliability Engineering courses
Familiarity with requirements generation using DOORS, or DOORS import/export tools, or other requirements management tools
Experience in FPGA development (VHDL or Verilog) or software development
Knowledge of operating system concepts
Experience with Failure Analysis tools
Experience with embedded systems and embedded operating systems, including board support, cross-compilers, boot images, remote debugging, etc.
Experience with encryption protocols
Compensation of the Senior Systems Engineer
Starting annual salary for this position is $90,000-$160,000.
