CT Clean Energy Corps Project Leaders Job Opening in hartford, Connecticut - CT Clean Energy Corps Project Leaders The Project Leader will co-lead a team of ten members working with partnering organizations to increase visibility of and participation in the Connecticut Neighbor to Neighbor Energy Challenge. Project leaders will supervise members and ensure that partner and member outcomes are achieved in a safe and responsible manner. Below is a description of the Corps members� role in the Neighbor to Neighbor campaign. SCA's CT Clean Energy Corps members will serve directly with community members, municipal leaders, and others to decrease energy consumption and increase the amount of that energy that comes from renewable resources. This on-the-ground program will be developing and implementing outreach, education and action programming to increase awareness of the program in participating 14 communities. The team will host public events, utilize social media and work with community members one on one to get the word out and increase participation in the "Neighbor to Neighbor Energy Challenge." This is a new, cutting-edge program that is charting new territory in terms of sustainable energy and reduced consumption. Successful members will be energetic, flexible, and optimistic. Members transport themselves to and from program office but there 2 program vehicles available for field work. While office space will be accessible, much of members` time will be spent in the communities doing residential lighting visits, participating in meetings with local stakeholders and tabling at events. It is project leaders� role to assure that the Corps members have the resources and oversight they need to be successful. Primary Responsibilities: Crew Manager �Facilitate team operations: equipment/supplies, vehicles, and outreach materials �Actively manage project/member risk to maintain a safe work environment �Develop member work schedules and directly supervise members in all tasks associated with the project �Observe and support Corps members outreach activates in the field to effectively conduct mid-term and final evaluations �Ensure that all project outcomes, as laid out in project proposals and developed with partners, are achieved to a satisfactory level �Complete all reporting requirements in a timely manner �Assist the Program Director with administrative duties such as logging timesheets and member paperwork Technical Advisor �Supervise the work skills training of corps members �Manage the quality & technique of work performed �Promote leadership development within team and evaluate success & potential Partnership Representative �Manage relationship with agency partner �Work collaboratively with agency on program logistics �Ensure successful and timely completion of project �Develop and maintain productive working relationships with all partner staff to ensure successful completion of project outcomes Program Administrator �Communicate with SCA field support staff as required �Complete required program reporting and documentation �Manage budget and necessary purchasing for crew and project �Ensure compliance with all SCA Risk Management policies & procedures Qualifications: �Minimum of two years of related experience, campaign planning and project management experience preferred. �Demonstrated team leadership and supervisory experience, especially leading teams of young adults �Knowledge of energy conservation and green energy alternatives preferred �Current CPR and First Aid certifications or ability to obtain required �Criminal background check that meets SCA standards required �Willingness to travel extensively in local area �Community organizing skills and strong capacity to work in a team �Possess High School diploma, Bachelors degree preferred �Minimum: Bachelors degree in related field �Valid driver�s license and MVR that meets SCA standards required �Ability to meet SCA�s criminal background check standards �Excellent communication and leadership skills �Ability to work independently with minimal supervision �Ability to carry heavy loads up to 50 pounds Compensation: Salary range $1621.65 - $1801.85, paid biweekly.
