Accounts Payable Clerk Job Opening in Independence, Ohio - Position Summary
The Accounts Payables Clerk will handle all of the bookkeeping and accounting related to the stand alone dealership. The Accounts Payable Clerk will carry out all responsibilities in accordance with organization?s policies and applicable laws. This position is responsible for timely and accurate keeping of the financial records and is critical in the efficiency of the monthly closing process. Additional responsibilities or projects may be required at specific times of the year, or as the company grows.
Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Ø Review/Approval of Invoices
Ø Filing of invoices/payments
Ø Communications with vendors to ensure all accounts are in good standing
Ø Aid in the year-end closing process, as needed
Ø Maintain other audit files and records, as needed
Ø Miscellaneous other projects, as needed
Education and Experience
Prefer an Associate?s Degree in Accounting and two years of related experience. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Previous DMS or DealerTrack experience is strongly suggested. Windows, Word, and Excel skills should be proficient. Strong analytical skills, being career driven, and being able to handle multiple duties and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision are also very important.
