STATUS: Full-time, hourly
SCHEDULE: Day shift 8-5pm

JOB SUMMARY
Provides human resources guidance, including planning, organizing, developing and implementing programs to meet the organization?s goals. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within this field. Coordinates and participates in all aspects of the recruitment and selection procedure including screening of employment applications (including resumes), interviewing, and pre-employment background checks. Ensures all employment practices comply with state and federal law. Responsible for personnel records and employee relations.
Develops and implements strategies to retain key employees and create a positive and productive work environment.
Oversees personnel transactions and records to ensure files are accurate and complete. Designs and implements forms and systems to record and track employee data.
Develops and implements staff training including; leadership training and on-going staff training and development. Works with managers to provide growth opportunities for employees.
Handles employee relations issues; provides coaching to employees, counsels supervisors or employees in appropriate corrective action, leads all involuntary terminations (except executives). Handles all leave requests and FMLA, OFLA, and ADA processes.
Keeps current on all employment laws and regulations. Implements programs to prevent and minimize legal exposure. Ensures compliance with all aspects of employment law. Keeps abreast of current and new legislation impacting human resource practices and takes appropriate action to communicate changes to executive, management, and department staff.
Steps in to help manage complicated benefits administration situations and backs up the Benefits Administrator and payroll.
QUALIFICATIONS
Read, write, and speak English at an acceptable level to perform job functions.
Work in a team environment with close attention to detail; works independently with only general direction; handle and meet multiple deadlines. Must be comfortable working with all levels of management.
Knowledge of SuccessFactors and ADP, or similar programs.
At least five years work experience.
