OFD has three manufacturing facilities on a 35-acre industrial site and more than 500 employees. OFD has more than 20 million kilograms of drying capacity at its three Oregon plants, representing about 70% of North American Capacity.

Position Overview
Reporting to the CFO, the Director of Finance will directly manage the accounting and finance functions that include all accounting related cycles (accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, etc?) tax & treasury, cost accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting & forecasting. Additionally, a substantial portion of this role will be managing finance related projects as they become warranted.
Essential Functions
Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets and business plans - monitoring and reporting on all revenues and expenses and provides management information to other department heads.
Works directly with the CFO on financial modeling, analysis and planning projects.
Ensures accuracy in cost accounting, accounts payable, credit, billing, receivables, payroll, and general ledger.
Monitor the policies and procedures for discounts, promotions, and allowances.
Manages, mentors, and develops the accounting and finance teams to grow professionally and provide the organization value add financial information.
Continually looks for areas for improvement opportunities to existing processes and the way the functions leverage technology in the preparation and distribution of their work product.
Approve the financial statements and analyses for the monthly management report.
Evaluate general financial data accumulation and reporting systems to determine that internal accounting controls are adequate. Document accounting systems for internal control assurance, staff training, etc.
Coordinate and prepare necessary documents for annual audit conducted by independent accountants.
Effectively manage the company?s treasury functions and communication with banks and lending institutions.
Responsible for company?s tax functions and communication with outside accountants for tax preparation.
Evaluate and implement proposals for financial return on investment, as well as existing reports and procedures for financial applications.
Oversee development of tools that help translate sales forecasts into data that guide production forecasts.
Desired Skills & Experience
Bachelor?s degree (MA/MBA preferred) in Accounting or Finance.
2-5 years Public Accounting experience (CPA preferred).
3-10 years of progressively responsible finance/accounting industry experience (specifically in manufacturing).
Team player who is comfortable with change and embraces forward movement.
Strong initiator, but also collaborative, with a desire to understand the business as a whole.
Organizational agility: the ability to switch gears quickly, work in a fast paced environment and stay on track to meet end-results.
