Plant Controller Job Opening in Cartersville, Georgia - Our manufacturing company of nonwoven materials in Cartersville, Georgia is in an exciting period of growth and expansion. We are currently recruiting for a Plant Controller.
The Plant Controller is a key member of our leadership team and will work closely with the Plant Manager, Production Manager and Office Manager to lead the financial processes of the company.
The Plant Controller will be responsible for cost accounting, inventory controls, manufacturing systems administration, financial reporting, payroll oversight and additional projects related to company performance improvements.
Specific duties will include:
Perform Inventory Counts and Inventory Valuation each month of raw and finished product
Reconcile Bank Records
Prepare Journal Entries and Reconcile all Balance Sheet Accounts
Prepare Monthly Financial Statements by the designated deadline
Review Accounts Payable
Review Accounts Receivable
Assist in preparing Invoices, when needed

basic qualifications as outlined in the requirements.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree
3 years as a cost accountant in a manufacturing environment with an emphasis on cost accounting, reporting and variance analysis
High level of proficiency with MS Excel including use of pivot tables and ERP/MRP systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA credentials
Ability to consistently meet deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Exhibits clear and concise written and verbal communication
Ability to work and communicate effectively at all organizational levels and across functional areas
Skill at identifying, measuring, evaluating and improving, if needed, the effectiveness of accounting, managerial, financial and operational controls
Thorough attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent problems resolution and decision-making skills
Skills necessary analytically to review/analyze accounting and financial data, substantiate financial statement balances as well as prepare financial statement account reconciliation
Sound planning and organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments
Maintains professionalism and reacts well under pressure
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Demonstrated leadership as part of a cross-functional management team
