Description:
We are seeking to hire a Cash Room Administrator who will fulfill a supportive role within the finance department. During the school year the finance team is made up of nine people. The Cash Room Administrator will work closely with the Financial Assistant, handling the retail line of business. Each day, the Cash Room Administrator collects money and sales receipts from cashiers and managers at the end of their shifts. The money and accompanying documents are counted and organized and any discrepancies or questionable transactions are noted. The Cash Room Administrator prepares multiple cash deposits each day and keeps accurate records of what is going to and from the bank.
Applicants must be able to compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.
Responsibilities:
The Cash Room Administrator will work with a variety of paperwork on a daily and weekly basis and should have a beginning to intermediate level of knowledge using Microsoft Excel. They are expected to understand and follow all Aramark cash handling policies. Responsibilities also include the following:
Counts, verifies, and logs sales amounts per cashier
Prepares money for deposit at the end of each business day
Keeps accurate records of cashiers picking up or returning money to the vault
Prepares daily ?cash bags,? or the money used by cashiers during their shifts
Performs daily audits of vault funds
Populates online spreadsheets with cashier sales data
Qualifications: Required:
Experience cashiering and balancing after daily shift transactions
Possession of interpersonal and effective communication skills, active listening and problem solving capability
Ability to adhere to cash handling policies and standard practices
Strong organizational skill and attention to detail
Preferred:
2-4 years cashiering functions in a multi-division organization
2-4 years of basic accounting principles and practices

Associates degree or higher and/or a combination of 3+ years of relevant experience.
