Accountant Job Opening in Farmington, Minnesota - Job Responsibilities:
Compare invoices to approved budget and enter invoices on draw sheets
Ensure proper approval for all costs in excess of approved budget amounts and all change orders
Review invoices to determine proper capitalization versus expense
Generate and post monthly journal entries including accruals, sales and updates to work in process
Complete draw request with title company
Update work in progress per project
Write checks and record deposits in QuickBooks; Reconcile bank accounts in QuickBooks
Update and reconcile building loans
Track and record available lot inventory
Other office and accounting duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Two year Associate/Technical degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; or equivalent work experience
3-4 years of accounting experience
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and all Microsoft Office programs
Previous experience working with QuickBooks
Basic understanding of accounting, reconciliations and finance functions
Strong organizations and communication skills
Detail oriented and ability to interpret data
Strong analytical and mathematical skills
