Financial Analyst Job Opening in Faribault, Minnesota - SUMMARY: Applies principles of accounting and finance to support the business, including preparing analyses which provide information and trends relating to product costing, plant performance and product profitability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Partner with Management in executing and supporting programs that ensure overall costs are understood and clearly communicated within the Business.
Assist with month end close and financial reporting, including supporting the annual financial audit by outside CPA firm.
Create, manage and communicate variance reporting for month end close processing, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.
Assist in preparation of annual budget and forecasts.
Assist in profitability matrix creation and analysis to help support bottom line customer performance.
Work with Sourcing group to monitor changes in raw material costs and the impact to overall product costing. Also support of supplier incident tracking and associated cost recovery efforts.
Identify, capture and document departmental processes.
Special projects, analysis, data interpretation, forecasting.
Interface with ERP system in support of the Business.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance.
EXPERIENCE:
Two to five years of financial analyst or cost accounting experience preferably within a manufacturing environment. Should be familiar with standard costing principles/systems and variance reporting.
SKILLS:
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong working knowledge of accounting and financial analytical systems and tools.
Detail orientated
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP a plus)
Works well both independently and as part of a group
