Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist Job Opening in Gardner, Kansas - We are looking for a full time Veterinary Customer Service Representative/Vet Assistant at our busy 2.5 doctor small animal practice. We also have a full service grooming salon, pet boarding and daycare facility, and city shelter on are looking for someone w/ animal knowledge, with sparkling customer service skills, who is highly motivated, team-oriented, and able to work efficiently while still having fun. You must be available from 7am-close (5:30 pm or later) Monday and Friday, 7am-close (6pm or later) Tuesday-Thursday, and Saturday 8am- close (1pm or later) and be willing to work some holidays. Our ideal fit should value client service, be compassionate and strive to give our patients the best care possible. Experience with computers and multi-line phones are essential, experience with Cornerstone is preferred but not required. Must have the ability to think on your feet, be a team player, take constructive criticism, and stay positive through a 10-hour shift. We are looking for someone who is dependable, hard-working, and not afraid to get their hands dirty. Duties Include:
Telephone reception
Appointment scheduling
Fee collection
Client correspondence
Checking in clients & weighing pets
Cleaning hospital rooms between patients and at the end of the day
Chart filing, pulling and auditing
Restraining pets when needed
Assisting in filling prescriptions, drawing up vaccines, running some lab work
