Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant

Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant Job Opening in Lake Charles, Louisiana - Minimum 2 years of data entry experience preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft office applications with proficiency in excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information
Knowledge of M3 in a plus but not required
Must have understanding and knowledge of payroll
Must have strong organizational skills, communication skills, and attention to detail
Familiarity of hotel accounting and operations is a plus
Must have effective listening and communication skills, initiative, ability to work independently, and in teams,
Must show ability to multi-task, maintain composure under pressure and display high level of professionalism, integrity and follow through
Must be able to exercise good judgment and discretion and have effective problem solving skills
Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information
Review overnight reports and verify the resulting daily revenue entries in accounting software
Input accounts payable into accounting software system
Maintain property accounting controls- i.e. cash, petty cash, purchase orders, credit cards settlements
Process payroll on a biweekly basis and administer employee incentives
Reconcile monthly bank accounts, hotel accounting, hotel credit cards and all cash reconciliations
Follow up with vendors when necessary for invoices, refunds, etc?.
Have an eye for cutting cost
Manage new hire paperwork and verify I-9/E-verify eligibility
Assist General Manager and Director of Sales
