Analyst, Decision Support and Analytics Overview - Honolulu, Hawaii:
The ideal candidate will bring a background in supporting operational reporting needs, project ownership, understanding metrics, report development, analytical thinking, teamwork and a preferred one to two years of experience with a health plan or medical group in a decision capacity. The person in this role must partner effectively with all key internal and external stakeholders, be able to thrive in an ambiguous environment, and adjust quickly as goals and parameters change.
This is a ground-breaking opportunity to drive a meaningful impact in an evolving universe of value based care. This effort will require a certain set of ?start-up? skills such as defining the reporting needs of the market management, working with the Analytics team in the home office, acting as a liaison between the Analytics team and market management, becoming the in-market subject matter expert on the tools and products available for reporting/analytics within agilon health, performing ad hoc analytics to support the market as required and building relationships with the physician and management groups and community that will support long-term success.
The analyst must be a strong supporter of agilon health?s mission, vision, core values and physician leadership philosophy. The person in this role will adhere to all regulatory, accreditation, and agilon health policy requirements. The individual must understand the importance of accurate data in the management of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Function in a highly matrixed, fast-paced and team-based environment.
Acts as a liaison between Analytics and operational departments within the Hawaii market.
Support Information Services, Analytics and agilon leadership to drive initiatives with provider and payer partners
Support the operational infrastructure through timely reporting with ongoing focus on organizational effectiveness, continued integration with agilon health and enhancing the ability to manage the cost-of-care.
Performs analysis on an ad hoc basis as required to support the strategic and operational needs of the Hawaii market leadership team.
Participates in business process improvement efforts to collect and analyze metrics and continually improve processes by the organization and client groups.
In collaboration with the agilon health Analytics team, develop and catalog standard management reports
Learn to use tools and technologies employed across agilon health
Drive high quality results by focusing on supporting the organizational needs.
Leverage and embrace technology to drive process improvement, operational efficiency, and improved clinical results.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to continue to define and support the agilon culture within the market and across the company.

Bachelor?s degree (experience in data analysis preferred), healthcare experience a plus
Requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience including Data Modeling using Access and/or SQL, preferably in healthcare
Requires excellent communication, analytical, facilitation and problem-solving skills
Quantitative Reasoning and practical thinking methodology, Data Process Modeling. Strong attention to detail
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); Access &/or SQL strongly preferred.
Strong interest in working with large / complex / segmented data sets and extract, analyze, and interpret financial / operational / clinical data to address business questions across organization
Strong interest in learning healthcare industry concepts
Strong desire to join & grow with a high performing, result-driven analytics teams
