Accountant Job Opening in Livingston, Tennessee - Hutchinson FMS, A global leader in fluid management technologies ( Livingston TN) is looking to fill an Accountant position.
Position Summary
Properly reflect the cost of manufacturing of products; provide management with financial reflection of monthly operational activities and provide analysis thereof. To supply management with forecasted financial results based on sales, productivity, capital and spending assumptions. To provide complete and accurate information on inventory, plant assets, cost changes, and recommend corrective action in controlling them.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for Accounts Payable function, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation.
Participates in monthly financial closing/reporting process and forecasts.
Assists accounting department in annual budget, forecasts, and strategic plans.
Coordinates the semi-annual physical inventory.
May plan, study and collect data to determine costs of business activity, such as raw material purchases, inventory, individual parts and labor. May analyze data obtained and records results.
May analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs.
Provides management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
Compares cost standards to actual production costs.
Other activities and duties as assigned.
Must actively support our Health, Safety and Environmental Policies, immediately report all dangerous situations and correct them when able to do so safely, participate in all required Safety Training, meetings, inspections and use all required PPE.
MINIMUM POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree level of knowledge in Accounting with 3-5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment. Working knowledge with computerized manufacturing systems and personal computer spreadsheets.
