Banquet Sales Manager Job Opening in Portland, Maine - Season's Event and Conference Center is currently seeking Event Sales Managers The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, detail oriented and goal driven sales person who is experienced in selling a variety of banquet events, to include weddings, business meetings, trade shows, seated dinners & lunches.
The Event Sales Manager's responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Responing in a timely manner to all inquiries for banquet business.
Prepare proposals for clients and negotiate contracts with customers.
Ensure execution of all contracted events in a timely, complete and courteous manner.
Ensure correct invoicing and payment of all events.
Ensure client satisfaction through the smooth execution of all events.
Position requirements:
Experience in restaurant, hotel, or venue event sales/catering sales
Local market experience preferred
Basic understanding of sales & marketing * Strong self direction * Ability to sell and manage multiple spaces and details * Excellent computer and telephone and verbal communication skills
Outgoing and self-motivating individual with pleasant personality
