Position: Advertising Sales Account Executive
Location: Santa Monica, California
CycleHop, a leading bike share company operating in 15 cities and 10 universities in North America, is seeking an advertising sales account executive to proactively sell OOH and digital media assets associated with bike share to local companies and national brands.
About the Industry:
Bike share is a healthy and sustainable form of public transportation in which bicycles are made available for shared use by individuals on a short term basis. Proven to be incredibly successful in nearly 1000 cities around the globe, bike share provides a fun and healthy way to commute to work, zip around town and explore the sights.
In 2017, 120 cities in the U.S. are expected to have bike share programs. Bike share is also appealing to university and corporate campuses. Similar to rideshare, the bike share industry is seeing tremendous growth and strong demand and usage by consumers.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect and build lead lists of companies to target for advertising.
Secure meetings with key decision makers at the client and agency level
Develop proposals that target client?s marketing and sales objectives
Present CycleHop Media?s products to perspective clients effectively
Generate a high volume of sales activity including cold calls, presentations, proposals and meetings
Work with CRM to manage sales process and client accounts
Grow revenue thorough upselling to current clients and by acquiring new ones
Consistently meet/exceed quarterly sales goals
Manage inventory of OOH and digital media assets
Work collaboratively with internal teams to generate business and expand existing accounts across all verticals
Work closely with local marketing teams
Work with and follow direction from the Sponsorship and Advertising Sales Director
Collaborate with other internal departments to ensure smooth implementation and complete client satisfaction
Report to corporate leadership
Additional responsibilities to realize the company business objectives
Attend industry conventions and other related activates
Requirements
Bachelor?s Degree in business, marketing or related fields
1 + years of adverting sales experience
Knowledge and experience in Out of Home, Sponsorship and Experiential Events sales
Experience canvassing and cold-calling into brands, agencies, etc
Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
High level of organizational skills
Detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and solve problems
Have a positive attitude and a sense of humor
Computer savvy and proficient in Google Apps for Business, Microsoft Office, CRM Management and ability to quickly learn custom software programs and other technology tools
Highly motivated, self-starter with a desire to learn, develop new skills and driven by incentives/results.
Thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment
Must be able to travel
Job hours will most likely exceed 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week
Salary
Base salary is $45K plus benefits and commission.
