Junior Systems Engineer Job Opening in Chantilly, Virginia - The position is for a entry level engineering position to support the senior engineers in the areas of satellite communications, wireless communications, networking, Radio Frequency (RF) designs, and modeling and simulation activities. A security clearance will be required for some DoD programs, and all IC programs.
Support senior communications and network engineering personnel in developing end-to-end communication systems. This includes design, modeling, integration, testing, and deployment of end-to-end systems. Support development of physical layer (communications devices), network layer, and application layer to enable end to end solutions. Implementation of systems engineering processes to include requirements management, performance evaluation, and documentation. Sound basis in digital communications theory to include link analysis, modulation formats, detection theory, and antenna basics. Must have good communications skills, and able to work in a group environment.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering degree
Strong knowledge of MS office, Excel, and Powerpoint
Experience developing models in MATLAB and AGI-STK
Strong English language and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills:
MSEE
Interested in Information Assurance and Cybersecurity
Software Development VB, C++
App development in Android / iOS
RF experience
0-5 years with a BSEE degree or higher.
Master's or in the pursuit of a Masters.
The ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Preferred Experience:
Active TS or TS/SCI
