Admissions Director Job Opening in Canton, Ohio - Position Summary:
Meet census goals by working with facility Leadership Team and Home Office Clinical Liaison. Manage the facility customer flow, admissions process, referral management and admission sign-in, though post-admission. Responsible for maintaining targeted occupancy levels of the facility.]7
Qualifications
Ideal candidate must be a skilled communicator, director and motivator
Able to organize and prioritize many tasks effectively
2 years of experience in an position in healthcare environment
Long term care experience required
Knowledge of Medicare and 3rd party billing
Knowledge of medical terminology
Ability to discuss clinical evaluations with physicians and other care givers within facility
Must be detail oriented and have excellent customer service skills
Able to react to emergency situations appropriately when required
Must be able to travel locally by personal automobile as required
Essential Functions: Exhibits ability to perform functions of providing the following.
Assess inquiries when necessary and respond to referrers based on protocol, communicate admission decision and ensure positive admission experience for customer and family.
Must follow up with all referrals in a timely manner.
Schedule and conduct tours for customers, families, and referrals to ensure successful sales.
In accordance with the Admission Sign-In policy and procedure, make sure all paperwork is signed and distributed appropriately
Prepare for all new admissions; room preparation, meet with the family, inductions to the nursing staff, etc.
Collect necessary documentation and resident information to be logged in company software.
Work closely with the Administrator, regional team, and all others involved to maintain consistent admissions, discharge and transfer meetings.
Review performance statistics including customer flow, pending and lost inquiries, denials, hospital discharges and sales activity.
Assist in coordinating sales opportunities for referring hospitals by identifying, initiating, nurturing and maintaining contact with physicians, social workers, discharge planners as it relates to the facility. Follow up with Administrator and Regional team as needed.
Communicate resident?s progress, as appropriate with HIPAA guidelines, with the referral source.
Participate and assist in the coordination of presentations about the facility or other appropriate topics to hospitals, physicians, and other potential referral sources.
Work with Administrator to ensure resident satisfaction and to assess/respond to resident satisfaction surveys.
