Handymen/Craftsmen - Experienced and Quality Oriented Job Opening in chattanooga, Tennessee - Handymen/Craftsmen - Experienced and Quality Oriented We are growing at a tremendous rate and need experienced, quality oriented craftsmen to work as Handymen/Craftsmen. IF you are selected, you will be an EMPLOYEE (we worry about your taxes) not a 1099 subcontractor. You will receive an above scale hourly wage, an opportunity to earn an attainable production bonus that can equal your hourly wage, compensation for the use of your truck or van, paid personal time, paid holidays and more. Here is a summary of this job. Environment: Our job sites are occupied homes and select retail stores. Jobs range from the very simple work scopes (hang drapes or change a door knob) to whole house rehabs. Work indoors in dust and vapors that require protective equipment; work outdoors at heights in excess of 12' and may include work in extreme heat, cold and rain. Emergency services are offered, so some weekend and odd hour work may be required on a rotating basis. Skills: You must have at least ten verifiable years in hands-on construction. We are looking for generalists, not just framers or drywallers, etc. You must have excellent customer skills. You should be a High School Graduate (or attained a GED). Trade school or college is a plus. You are expected to be computer and smart phone literate. Must be able to read and understand a job schedule and plans when needed. Able to demonstrate a basic knowledge of building code and safety regulations is required also. Tools: Must have clean, dependable truck or van capable of transporting materials and pulling a small trailer. Must have own tools (basic power and hand tools) - exact list available at interview. Must have a smart phone (iphone, Blackberry, or Droid) with full text, email, and web capability. Appearance: Clean cut, no visible tattoos. Company shirts will be provided and required to be wore when on the clock at all times. Compensation: Hourly wage, occasional overtime, attainable production bonus, commissions, uniforms, vehicle reimbursement, paid time off, paid holidays. The right employee could have an opportunity for advancement. Pay is bi-weekly via direct deposit or debit card. This is a full-time permanent position. Must be able to pass drug test, background check, DMV check, skills test, tool and vehicle inspection, verifiable references both personal and professional.
