Schiffman Grow & Company is a public accounting firm located in Worthington, Ohio. We have been in business for over 30 years and provide a wide range of services for our clients including tax, accounting, and financial planning services.
The position involves preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and consulting. You will interface closely with clients and other staff members to ensure accurate and timely completion of all projects. Specific tasks will likely include:
Financial statement engagement design, review, and management.
Preparation and review of federal, state, and city income tax returns for businesses, including returns for corporations and partnerships.
Preparation of personal income tax returns.
Communication with clients on a daily basis to insure satisfaction and quality service.
Daily interaction with staff accountants.
Training and develop staff accountants.
Staff scheduling.
The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of accounting and tax rules and regulations with a minimum of 2 years public accounting experience. Being proficient in the use of QuickBooks accounting software and Thompson Reuters tax and accounting products would be a plus. The ideal candidate will have solid communication and organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and be a good problem solver. A four-year under graduate degree is required for this position with a major in accounting, as well as being a CPA or progress in achieving CPA status.
