Reporting to the Controller, you will be part of a 5-member team who truly collaborates and promotes growth in accounting and finance. This is an exciting opportunity as you will be reinventing the entire financial structure, including implementation of new software. Being in from the ground up, you will help to establish best practices. This is a full accounting/big picture & comprehensive role. If you play your cards right you?ll have an opportunity to expand from traditional AP/AR to completion of financial statements and management reporting!

What you should bring to the table
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting combined with 3-5 years professional Accounting experience
Technical and analytical Accounting skills with knowledge of IFRS, GAAP and SOX
Advanced Excel skills are a must!
Must be able to work cross-functionally with strong written and verbal communications skills
Possess the desire, motivation, and visionary aptitude to engage in more than the typical structured accounting process

In this role, you will have the opportunity to strongly engage with the team and business partners to learn the DoubleDown business while developing productive working relationships with internal and external business partners as you support their accounting needs. Throughout your first year, you will become proficient with balance sheet accounts through performing timely account reconciliations and become proficient in completing all accounting cycles through month-end close, management reporting, and financial statements. In doing so, you will also become an efficient user of our accounting system and other analysis tools we use, after all you helped implement them! As if that wasn?t enough, in your free time, you will also contribute to establishing and maintaining best practice policies and procedures and assist with establishing and maintaining internal controls and work with external auditors as needed
Placing your best bet - the responsibilities
Perform daily purchasing and accounts payable working with teams to ensure proper approvals and timely payments
Perform monthly revenue reconciliations
Prepare journal entries and monthly balance sheet reconciliations as required
Provide analysis and reporting for business partners
Assist team with month-end close processes, management reporting, and financial statements
Assist with cash management functions
Perform other accounting functions as assigned
