Full Charge Bookkeeper Job Opening in Santa Barbara, California - We are a local bookkeeping company looking to hire an experienced full charge bookkeeper. You'll have the chance to work with a variety of local businesses as their personal, part-time bookkeeper. Some of the tasks that you will be asked to provide will be:
- Perform all ongoing bookkeeping functions: AR, AP, payroll tax reporting, sales tax reporting, etc - Deposits, reconcile monthly bank & credit card statements
- Generate financial reports, cash flow projections, and budgets based on client's specific requests/needs
- Manage other miscellaneous office requests, filing, etc
- Work closely with accountant for year-end tax planning and preparation
Need to be:
- Proficient in QuickBooks, MS Excel, MS Word
- Able to perform/understand both cash and accrual accounting
- Consistently meet deadlines
- Maintain confidentiality, demonstrate integrity, excellent decision making skills
- Excellent written and computer communication skills
- Resourceful problem solver and quick learner
- Ability to communicate confidently & clearly with clients
- Work both independently and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Details:
- Position will be part-time to begin, with ability to grow to full time
- 2 years of experience preferred, but not required
- Must have driver's license & mode of transportation
- Looking to hire someone living in Santa Barbara or Ojai
