Full Charge Bookkeeper/Accountant Job Opening in Marina del Rey, California - Boutique and growing Business Management Company in the Marina Del Rey area is looking for a Assistant. We provide business management services for small businesses and individuals. Our roster spans a wide range interesting and fun businesses including clients in the entertainment, creative and beauty fields.
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn business management from A to Z. You will be exposed to all aspects of personal and business finance.
Job Responsibilities include:
Under direction of Business Owner/Manager
Manage entry of client bank statements and credit card statements into QuickBooks or Quickbooks Online through data entry or download
Report client payroll information to payroll processing companies
Process and pay all client bills through check, wire, & ACH and keep track of payment due dates
Prepare client invoices and payment application
Process client payroll and enter into general ledger
Reconcile monthly bank statements for clients
Prepare monthly client financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet)
Keep clients and owner informed of upcoming deadlines and due dates
Handle other client needs as assigned
Basic office duties (filing, phones and scheduling appointments)
Requirements:
The ideal individual will possess the following education, skills and personality traits:
Bachelor?s or Associates Degree in Accounting or Business Finance or 2-3 years? experience in Business Management
2-3 years? experience using QuickBooks and/or Quickbooks Online
Ability to handle a high volume of data entry with 10-key accuracy
Working knowledge of accounts payable, receivable, payroll and general ledger
Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook
Outgoing and able to communicate effectively and professionally on the phone as well as through written communication
Team player who cares about giving their clients the very best
Very organized, detail oriented and result driven
Flexible approach to changing priorities at a moment?s notice
Ability to multi-task and stay focused in fast paced environment
