Staff Accountant Job Opening in San Diego, California - Andrew Lauren Interiors is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Staff Accountant:
Position Summary
Performs and assists with various corporate accounting systems, including general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, internal controls and reporting. Recommends, implements, and evaluates procedures and systems to ensure maximum efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of accounting information and processing of financial obligations and safeguarding of corporate assets.
Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts.
Code, process and pay multi company and parent company invoices.
Prepare journal entries and monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.
Establish, modify, document, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
Report to management regarding the finances of establishment.
Manage the company fleet of vehicles and insurance policies.
Job Requirements

It is also important that you are able to work effectively with minimal oversight, while also functioning well in a team environment.
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED FOR THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT ROLE:
BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2+ years of General Accounting
Attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Corporate accounting / General ledger experience
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including intermediate to expert Excel skills
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with minimal direction
